SURVIVAL RETREAT CONSULTING
Jonathan Hollerman has performed more Survival Retreat Analysis
and designed more off-grid survival retreats than anyone else in the world.
You can trust in his experience to provide you with the peace of mind that you have made the correct decisions and provided a safe refuge for your family and loved ones should the worst come to pass.
What services I DO provide:
New Survival Retreat - Design and Planning. Preliminary discussions with solid and realistic preparedness advice based on your family's precise needs and designed with your budget in mind.
Existing Survival Retreats Analysis - In-depth and on-sight analysis and Survival Retreat recommendations. Having completed over a hundred survival retreat analysis worldwide, Jonathan has experience with projects of all shapes and sizes.
Corporate Survival Retreats - Design and planning for corporate survival retreats with primary focus to have a fully-stocked, safe location to relocate business executives and their families during a crisis.
Survival Real Estate Property Search and Acquisition – The biggest mistake most preppers make is buying their land without expert guidance. There are dozens of prerequisites to consider when looking for an effective survival retreat location and it’s an extremely costly mistake.
Custom Survival Retreat Architectural Plans and Drawings – Very few architects understand or have experience developing cabin or house plans to meet the needs of a prepper. Pick one of my existing designs or we can design from scratch. I have access to an excellent off-grid architect in Idaho who understands these principles and has assisted me through many projects.
Designing a “Bug Out” Plan of Action - Designing a specific Bug Out Bag(BOB) for each member of your family, assistance in planning "escape” routes, Bug Out Vehicle selection, etc.
Stocking your Retreat - There are a myriad of emergency supplies, food, and tools you will need to make an off-grid lifestyle possible.
Security Advice – How to maximize the security of your Survival property and your cabin. How to prepare for and handle potential threats with expert understanding of the types of threats you'll face after a collapse.
Weapon selection and training – This is an emotional subject with many differing opinions. Just because your friend is a policeman or gun store employee, does not make him the best person to advise you on long-term survival weapons. “SHTF” weapons should be selected based on reliability and function not looks or cool-factor.
Long Term Food – Developing a plan to provide your family with the nutrients necessary to survive long term. Be wary of “one year” long-term food packages online as nearly every supplier sell their food plans with far less actual food than advertised. On average, these "one-year" plans contain 40-50% of the actual calories a person will need for the year. My philosophy is to incorporate a well rounded plan of canned goods, pre-packaged freeze-dried meals, core staples (rice, beans, salt, etc…), seeds for gardening, and small, fast breeding animals (chickens, rabbits, etc..) to ensure your family doesn’t run out of food.
SERE Training – While not common, I can provide extensive on-site training in survival skills, escape and evasion, building fires, water procurement, shelter construction, compass navigation, night ops, etc. if requested.
What services I DO NOT provide:
Taking on clients that operate as a militia or are anti-government - I only work with people whose intention is to provide a safe haven for their family and loved ones.
Design a Survival Bunker in a City - lf you plan to build a fallout shelter for a long term survival situation under your house in [insert rich suburban neighborhood here], you need to do more research into human nature and societal breakdown scenarios. Underground bunkers are great for Hurricanes and short term emergency situations, but you CAN NOT survive long-term underground without going crazy or being discovered by looters when you “come up for air”. If you can afford a large underground survival bunker, than you need to buy a piece of land well away from town and place it there!
Assisting clients that don’t have the financial resources to build an effective Survival Retreat - I am only one man., so I am limited in the amount of clients I can take on. If you are looking for preparedness advice on a budget, please read my book, Survival Theory, a full-length preparedness manual geared towards preparedness on a budget.
"From the moment we met it was apparent Jon and I were like minded, but after talking to him for a while I realized just how much I didn't know when it came to preparedness. Jon has guided me through basics, as well as scenarios I would have never considered if it was not for his perspectives. Jon’s field experience, diligent research, and practical applications of a self-sustaining lifestyle that align with my family’s needs have been priceless for my family. Not only did Jon help me find my property, he has been intimately involved in the design and build of my retreat. Jon has a clear passion for helping people and is willing to do whatever it takes to meet the needs of others. He is a good man, and I would recommend him to anyone just looking to further their thought process, or to design and build out a full retreat."
Jonathan Hollerman is passionate about educating others about the very real possibilities of a serious breakdown of the world as we know it. His background and life experiences add credence and validity to his extensive research and presentation. He meets you at your level and educates and encourages from there. I have worked with and hired other consultants and read many books and blogs etc., but Jonathan's was the most detailed and organized package and presentation I have seen. He was encouraging yet honest and to the point. You will not be disappointed!
